QURAN
[7.26] O children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover your shame, and (clothing) for beauty and clothing that guards (against evil), that is the best. This is of the communications of Allah that they may be mindful.
HADITH
"Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya (modesty) is a part of faith."
"The main source of disbelief is in the east. Pride and arrogance are characteristics of the owners of horses and camels, and those bedouins who are busy with their camels and pay no attention to Religion; while modesty and gentleness are the characteristics of the owners of sheep."
"O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty , and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power."
Allah has cursed those women who practise tattooing and those who get it done for themselves, and those who remove hair from their faces, and those who artificially create spaces between their teeth to look beautiful, such women as alter the features created by Allah.
Allah's Apostle cursed those men who are in the similitude (assume themanners) of women and those women who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of men.
BIBLE
"Women must not wear men's clothing nor a man wear women's clothing for the Lord your God detests anyone who does his" (Deuteronomy 32:5).
"Favor is deceitful and beauty is vain but a woman that feareth the Lord she shall be praised" (Proverb 31:30).
"also want women to dress modestly, with decency, in propriety, not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or expensive clothes, but with good deedsappropriate for women who profess to worship God" (Timothy 2:9-10).
"Any man who prays or prophesizes withsomething on his head disgraces his head but if any woman whoprays or prophesizes with her head unveiled disgraces her head. It is one and the same thing as having her head shaved. For if a woman will not veil herself then she should cut off her hair. But, if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or to be shaved, she should wear a veil..For a man ought not to have his head veiled since he is the image and reflection of God but the woman is a reflection of man" (Corinthians 11:4-7).
