A Flower Girl Of An Old Town

There was a very poor, orphan, young girl in an old town who had to take care of her younger brother at expense of sympathies of people in the neighborhood for their living.

One day her brother fell ill and the girl started begging around a busy lane, nearby. She was used to spend hours and hours but was still unable to raise enough money to pay for her brother’s treatment .

One day she had a dream of some beautiful wild flowers, smiling at her, ...whispering..."A Life For A Life" .

She decided to look for them in the outskirts.

To her surprise , she found them growing in clusters there.

She plucked some and started selling them in small bunches at the lane, by saying; “A life for a life!”

Passer bys, interested in the natural beauty and the wild perfume of the flowers, started giving her a few pennies in exchange.

To her amusement, she found the clusters of flowers doubled the next day.

Every day she kept working hard , hiding her tears and fears behind a divine smile at her face.

One day a wicked person snatched the flower bunches from her hands and crushed them under his feet.

“This wicked girl is stealing the sympathies!” He yelled.

The scared girl went home, finding her brother in poorer health.

The very next day the same thing happened to her, and people kept watching, silently.

She screamed:” A life for a life!” but no one responded.

Her brother’s health aggravated, and one day he died, eventually.

Then one day after sometimes , she visited the place where those wild flowers used to grow, but found no sign of any plant there.

She visited the grave of her brother, one day, after , and found the clusters of the wild flowers on his grave!

This a story about how our mis-judgements about other intentions takes away an opportunity of doing GOOD to others.
