I was reading Matthew Chapter 10 this morning and I found it particularly interesting how the Lord Jesus chose the twelve disciples, gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and disease and then told them to preach the gospel. He told them what to expect and how to handle these things that would come their way. There is a warning in His words. He tells us that we will be brought up before governors and kings but all for His sake. We are not to worry or take thought on what we should say in our defense because He will show us what to speak. There is also a word of judgment on us all. If we don't love Him above all else then we are not worthy of Him.vs.37&38. Picking up our cross and following Jesus simply means to lay aside our own lives for Him, following His footsteps, putting aside our own needs, seeing to the needs of others and dying to our old nature.v.39.

Brothers and sisters we are at a crucial time in our lives. Judgment has already started within the Church. But, there is yet another judgment coming. He is coming to take away the Man Child ie. the Overcomers.

The Lord is ready to come and take us away with Him. Where will we be when this happens? Are we ready? Are our lamps full with the oil He so desires to give us if we are willing to pay the price? Salvation is free but the oil is not.Matt. 25:9. We have to succumb to His will if we are to receive. Watch and pray that we be accounted worthy to escape the things coming upon this earth and to stand before Jesus. Lk.21:36. Look around you and you cannot deny the time is close at hand. There is a change that is occuring even right now. Take the scales off of your eyes if you cannot see this and repent then turn to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. I so want that faith to end because I so desire to be with Him. This word is for me as well as you. I must turn to stand with Him no matter the cost. God Bless.
