TRUE LOVE

I have friends that don't believe in Christ the same way that I do because it is just religion to them. You know, like attending church once a week or whenever it suits them. They put Him in the back of their minds and pull Him out when trouble arises or when a religious holiday comes around. Then I also have friends that don't believe in Him at all. They don't want to talk about Christianity or God and they just push it away. Both group of friends agree that the majority of Evangelical Christians are too pushy about their faith. They say, "believe the way you want to believe and leave the rest of humanity alone about it." I do. Unless the Lord opens the door I won't push to open it myself. I have this gut wrenching feeling that wants to shout aloud to the world that there isn't anything out there but the Lord that there is no other way to God but through His Son. I cannot do that unless God tells me to do that.

The way I see it is this, when someone gives you a gift that you can share with mankind and you know that it is something that can change them forever and will bring them total joy and peace, would you share it with them? You have this wonderful gift yet you know that it can offend at first but you know that this gift has been the best thing that's ever happened in your life, would you still share it with them? What if it is a matter of life and death? Eternal life and eternal death. Would you risk offending someone to offer them this gift? What about love? Where is love in all this? "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. I am a Christian and I believe this whole heartedly. Am I being too pushy to share my faith or do I love you enough to share it? I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. I choose love. All you have to do is believe in Him and He will save you. He knows our hearts and He knows who really believes and has the desire to draw closer to Him. He knows what it is that we need. Trust in Him and He will guide you.
